Welcome aboard. I’m Capt. Mike.

I’m 67 years old and have been fishing my entire life. At four years old, I tied a rock to a rope and

dropped it into a sewer drain, fully expecting to catch a fish. That pretty much says it all.

I’ve fished from Montauk to Maine, throughout Florida on both coasts, from the Keys to the Panhandle,

with over 45 years fishing Florida waters, fresh and salt.

I chose Citrus County and the Chassahowitzka River because the waters are beautiful, the fishing is

excellent, and the pace is uncrowded—something that fits my personality and makes it easy to share

the experience with my guests.

I especially enjoy teaching children and helping them catch their first fish.

I’m a fisherman and a poet—some days better one than the other.
